‍DENS is committed to facilitating the transition from fossil fuels to clean energy. We develop the technology that overcomes the barriers to storage and transport of hydrogen. Hydrozine is a safe and efficient liquid hydrogen carrier that makes it easy to store hydrogen in tankers and transport it to locations around the world. Once on site, the patented technology extracts the hydrogen (dehydrogenation) so that it can be used in fuel cell vehicles or to produce electricity to charge batteries for electric vehicles and machines.

In addition, DENS develops Powerhubs (battery systems). The DENS Powerhub is a high-tech battery system for on/off grid applications, energy storage and/or super-fast charging of vehicles or equipment. The DENS Powerhub stands out in terms of technology, performance, safety and energy density.

DENS solutions help reduce emissions from infra, agriculture, mining, construction and other industries from heavy vehicles and machinery-that would otherwise be powered by diesel.

In brief, the content of the function:
‍As a CAD Engineer at DENS you are mainly involved in the detailed development of 3D models based on data from single line diagrams, electrical diagrams and/or P&ID. You will also do some work preparation, which makes your job varied and dynamic!

Tasks: ‍

• Designing 3D models to the smallest details;
• Coordinating with various departments during the design process, including: Electrical Architects, Wiring Engineers, Proto Engineers, Purchase and Sales;
• Work preparation, where you place the bill of materials in the ERP system (Exact) in time for your purchasing colleagues to be able to proceed with the process;
• Working out and figuring out what materials are needed to build the 3D model;
• Calculating the mechanical construction if necessary;
• Creating working drawings for the steel work to be outsourced such as sheet metal work & turning and milling work;
• If necessary, you will offer assistance in building an initial prototype in production to incorporate feedback immediately;
• Function as a resource person for the production staff.

You bring with you:

• At least a completed MBO (or HBO) education, in the direction of mechanical engineering, mechatronics or automotive;
• You can handle feedback well;
• You have a proactive attitude;
• A good command of the Dutch and English language in word and writing;
• Experience with SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Inventor or similar;
• Preferably available 40 hours per week.
