Contractor FPH Ploegmakers has deployed multiple DENS Powerhubs to enable zero-emission operations on construction sites and store solar energy locally. This step aligns with their goal to build more sustainably and use energy more efficiently.
The company, based in Vinkel, has acquired three 20ft hook-lift Powerhubs. These mobile battery systems serve as off-grid charging stations for electric equipment on various projects. By charging temporarily off the grid, FPH Ploegmakers reduces grid dependency and cuts CO₂ emissions directly on-site—supporting cleaner construction and lower environmental impact.
A fourth system, the Gridhub, is installed at their headquarters. It stores solar energy from rooftop panels and powers the new charging plaza at Weerschut. The Gridhub features:
Developed in collaboration with Van der Sijs, the charging plaza includes 300 kW capacity and four rapid chargers. With integrated Energy Management Software (EMS), solar power, grid input, and charging are efficiently balanced—helping reduce peak loads and maximize renewable energy use.
FPH Ploegmakers specializes in civil engineering, working with public clients aiming for climate neutrality by 2030. From their energy-neutral office in Vinkel, they invest in electric equipment, sustainable building methods, and responsible entrepreneurship. DENS Powerhubs play a key role in this transition, offering practical, zero-emission energy solutions for on-site power.
