What will you do as a Junior Mechanical Engineer at DENS?

• Creating 2D and 3D designs – you translate ideas into technical CAD drawings and contribute ideas for smart solutions;
• Supervising prototypes – you observe, think, and help with the first versions in production, collect feedback, and implement improvements where necessary;
• Collaborating with the shop floor – you help build prototypes if necessary and are a point of contact for production colleagues once the design goes into series production;
• Problem solving – you contribute ideas to mechanical issues from the shop floor and identify where the problem lies: in the drawing, quality, or execution, and take action accordingly;
• Contact with suppliers – you coordinate designs with suppliers of steel, sheet metal, and turning work and work with them to determine whether the design is feasible;
• Brainstorming with other departments – you regularly consult with electrical and software engineers to make new products technically feasible;
• Helping to build a growing organization – you are part of a committed team within a company that is growing and developing rapidly. Your contribution matters: you help to take a step forward every day, in your role and responsibilities.

• You are a recent graduate or have a maximum of 2 years of work experience;
• You are a go-getter who learns by doing and dares to take initiative;
• You ask questions, investigate, and improve where necessary;
• You switch easily between design, production, and suppliers;
• You are available full-time (40 hours);
• Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.
