Business Controller

What will you do as a Business Controller at DENS?

In this role, you are the financial link between all departments: from production to sales. You will analyse results, draw up budgets and advise on investments and cost savings. You will ensure that we maintain control over our performance and know what is needed to realise our ambitions. In addition, you will be involved in:

• Financial analyses and reports – you will analyse results, trends and deviations and produce reports that provide management with insight into performance;
• Budgeting and forecasting – you draw up budgets together with departments and predict future results. You compare these with reality and make adjustments where necessary;
• Advising management – you advise on cost savings, investments and profit optimisation and assist with strategic choices based on data;
• Risk management – you identify financial risks and propose measures;
• Process optimalisation – you look for more efficient ways to improve financial processes;
• Bridging function – you translate the organisation’s wishes into concrete solutions, such as new processes or systems, and ensure that everyone is on the same page;
• Gathering information and brainstorming – you actively engage with the organisation, talk to departments about budgets, FTEs and costs, and provide insight into the outcomes of choices;
• Translating market expectations – you follow trends and translate them into financial scenarios for DENS.

What is important for us?

• Higher professional education (HBO) or university education (WO) level of working and thinking;
• 3-4 years of experience as a Business Controller;
• Strong analytical skills and assertive: you gather information and go into the organisation to obtain it;
• You switch easily between departments and ask critical questions;
• Good command of Dutch and English, both spoken and written;
• You are available for 40 hours per week.
